Constellations Community Lore Social

Constellations Community Lore Social

This will be a relaxed patio social for neurodivergent adults (most will be 20s/30s) focused on conversation and meeting new people through a low-key activity.

Participate in our “Community Lore” activity — a social scavenger hunt-style game designed to make mingling feel easier and spark better conversation.
Before the event, attendees will submit a few fun facts, unusual skills, niche interests, and/or random details about themselves.
We use these anonymous submissions to create the activity cards.
When guests arrive, anyone who wants to participate will receive a card featuring fun facts submitted by other attendees.
As you mingle throughout the evening, you’ll try to figure out which person matches each item on your card.

We’ll have reserved patio seating, casual games, complimentary appetizers, and drinks available for the group.
Alcoholic beverages and additional food can be purchased individually.

While we do have reserved patio seating, this may not be the best fit for individuals who are highly sensitive to noise or busy environments.

RSVP in the Constellations Member Portal today.

Non-Members can click here to sign-up through Eventbrite (we have four spots remaining for non-members).

Constellations Series: Beyond Rejection Sensitivity

This series is free for Constellations‍ ‍members. Please sign up through the member portal.
Not a member? You're welcome to join us by registering through Eventbrite.

Join us every Monday evening in June on Zoom.
This month, we’ll explore rejection sensitivity and practical strategies for responding to it with greater self-compassion.

Many adults experience intense emotional reactions to criticism, exclusion, conflict, disappointment, or perceived rejection. These experiences can drastically affect self-esteem, the quality of our connections, how we communicate, and our willingness to take social risks and reach our interpersonal goals.

Each session will include a mix of brief teaching, self-reflection exercises, and low-pressure group discussion designed to help participants better understand their experiences and develop practical coping strategies.

Week 1: Understanding Rejection Sensitivity
Why can criticism, exclusion, ghosting, and perceived rejection feel so overwhelming? We'll explore what rejection sensitivity is, how it develops, and what happens in our minds and bodies when we experience social pain.

Week 2: From Self-Criticism to Self-Compassion
Many of us become our own harshest critics after making mistakes, experiencing rejection, or feeling different from those around us. We'll discuss ways to challenge self-critical thinking and develop a kinder relationship with ourselves.

Week 3: Building Safe Connections
What makes someone a safe friend, partner, or community member? We'll explore trust, reciprocity, boundaries, pacing, and how to identify relationships that help us feel respected, accepted, and valued.

Week 4: Confidence, Authenticity, and Belonging
Many neurodivergent adults spend years trying to fit in. This session focuses on embracing your strengths and differences, communicating your needs, and building a life that feels authentic rather than exhausting.

Week 5: Free Discussion

You're welcome to join us for one discussion or all four.
Participants will receive discussion notes and additional resources following each session.

Constellations Discussion: Social Media and the Comparison Trap

Virtual Discussion: Social Media and the Comparison Cycle

Social media can help us stay connected, but it can also leave us feeling like everyone else is happier, more successful, more attractive, or further ahead in life.

In this guided discussion, we'll explore why comparison happens, how social media can shape our perceptions of ourselves and others, and ways to break out of the comparison cycle.

Join us for an honest conversation about envy, self-worth, friendships, dating, and learning to focus more on our own lives than everyone else's highlight reel.

Constellations members can sign-up in the member portal.

Constellations Discussion: Are you connecting ... or overwhelming?

Join us on Zoom to learn about the risks of oversharing and moving too quickly with new friendships/dating.

Many people get excited when they meet someone they like, but sharing too much too quickly can often backfire on us.
It can feel overwhelming or intense for the other person — even when we don’t mean it that way.

During our discussion, we’ll explore how trust should be built over time and what healthy pacing looks like in relationships.
We’ll also talk about how to notice whether a conversation feel balanced and mutual and how to stay open and authentic without putting pressure on a new connection.

We are opening this discussion to non-members.

Constellations Discussion: Friendly vs. Friendship

In this discussion, we’ll talk about the difference between someone being friendly and someone wanting to actually build a close friendship or relationship.

Sometimes people are kind, talkative, or friendly but that does not always mean they want to become close to us. This can feel confusing in social situations.

We’ll talk about signs of mutual interest, how connections usually grow over time, and how to avoid misunderstandings about someone’s intentions.

We are opening this discussion to non-members.
