Coaching

The essential work behind better relationships.

Forging meaningful relationships means we’ll be asked to communicate, take risks, understand ourselves, navigate uncertainty, and learn from experience.

Our coaching meets you in that work — with practical guidance, reflection, and support.

We don't believe in “undateable.”

We’ve worked with clients who have been told exactly that.

Maybe you came to dating later in life than your peers. Maybe you find yourself struggling to navigate the unwritten scripts and uncertainty of connecting with someone new. Maybe you have a disability that affects where you can go on a date, how you communicate, or what independence looks like for you.

Our approach isn’t to mold you into something more typical. We start by taking your desire for friendship, dating, intimacy, partnership, or simply more experience seriously — and figuring out what practical skills, support, practice, and changes will actually help you get closer to your goals.

Kate Inez Harrington

Owner, Harrington Matchmaking

“Sometimes it helps to have a perspective outside your own circle. The people closest to us care deeply about what happens in our dating lives. That also means they aren't always neutral. Parents can be protective. Friends bring their own experiences. The people who love us may have hopes about who we choose or what our relationships will become. A coach occupies a different position. We don't need you to like someone, get a second date, stay in a relationship, or end one. We can help you look at what's happening from another angle, ask questions the people closest to you may not think to ask, and ultimately become more confident making those decisions for yourself.”

Bigger Picture

Over three months, your coach gets to know the whole story — not just what happened on one date.

We’re looking for patterns: who you gravitate toward, where things tend to stall, and what you reflexively do when you’re interested, uncertain, or hurt.

Over time, you’ll get better at recognizing your own patterns, trusting your read of a situation, and feeling more empowered to decide what to do next.

The point isn’t to need a coach forever.

Coaching Challenges Limiting Beliefs

“When we believe connection is scarce, we may end up choosing anyone who seems to choose us.”

Coaching with Kate Inez Harrington

While Kate’s work has evolved beyond one-on-one coaching, she continues to maintain a small coaching practice, working personally with only a handful of clients at a time.

She has earned a reputation for working with clients whose circumstances other professionals in the dating industry may consider particularly complex — something we take pride in.

Kate has particular expertise working with neurodivergent and disabled adults, including autistic adults and adults with IDD. When useful and with the client’s involvement, she can also collaborate with parents, therapists, aides, or others in the client’s wider support system.

As with every Harrington Matchmaking client, we’re comfortable starting wherever someone is — without judgment or assumptions about what dating, independence, intimacy, or a successful relationship should look like for them.

Private coaching with Kate begins at $5k.

Coaching Challenges Performative Behavior

“A date isn’t an audition. You’re not only asking, ‘Do they like me?’ You’re learning if you like who you are when you’re around them.”

Community-Based Coaching

A Constellations membership offers another way to access Harrington Matchmaking’s approach.

Members have access to informal group coaching around dating, relationships, friendship, and social connection — alongside opportunities to meet and connect with other members.

It’s a place to learn, ask questions, practice new skills, and build experience without the cost or commitment of one-on-one coaching. Designed with neurodivergent adults in mind, while welcoming members with a wide range of support needs and life experiences.

Coaching Challenges Rejection Sensitivity

“Not every connection that ends is evidence that something went wrong. Sometimes getting to know someone gives you exactly the information you needed.”
