What is a Connection Request?

Curious about Connection Requests? You're in the right place.

First, it's important to understand that a member requesting to connect with another member is different from receiving a match introduction from the Constellations team.

Connection Requests allow Constellations members to express interest in getting to know someone they have met through our community. If you meet someone at a meetup or within one of our online community spaces and would like to connect with them, you can reach out to us and let us know.

There is never any pressure to say yes to a Connection Request.
You are always welcome to decline, and no explanation is required.
We believe that pressure is poison and that genuine connection happens when both people feel comfortable and enthusiastic about getting to know each other.

Before submitting or responding to a Connection Request, we encourage all members to review our Community Guidelines and the Introductions FAQ in the Resource Library. These resources explain our expectations around respectful communication, consent, privacy, and how introductions work within our community.

Below is an example of what our Connection Request emails look like.
