Community Guidelines
Constellations is a shared community.
The experience works best when all members participate with care, respect, and personal responsibility.
These guidelines are here to help everyone feel safe, respected, and comfortable.
Member Agreement Reminder
As a member, you signed an agreement to:
Treat all members with respect, patience, and kindness.
Speak clearly and honestly, even when you are not interested in continuing a connection.
Respect other people’s boundaries, pace, and communication style.
Stop communication in a respectful and clear way if you do not want to continue.
Understand that others are never required to respond, meet, or continue talking to you.
All feelings are welcome. Not all behaviors are.
You can feel anything. That is okay.
What matters is how you act on those feelings.
Treat others with respect at all times.
Behavior that is disrespectful, inappropriate, or crosses someone’s boundaries — including harassment, intimidation, or unkind words — is not allowed.
Clarity is kindness
Being clear helps others understand you.
No one can read your mind.
When you are unsure what to do, use your words and communicate directly and respectfully.
This is how we self-advocate and let others know our true feelings and boundaries.
Pressure is Poison
When someone feels rushed, overwhelmed, or pushed, connection usually decreases.
Do not pressure others, and do not accept pressure from others.
If you feel pressure at any time, pause.
Do not continue the conversation or make a decision right away.
Take a step back and talk to someone you trust.
Healthy connection feels calm, respectful, and never rushed.
Slow is Safe
You do not need to rush getting to know someone.
Start with simple communication, like messaging over email or text.
If both people feel comfortable, you can move to a phone call or meeting in person in a public place.
Take time between each step to notice how you feel.
If someone pressures you, asks you to do something you’re not comfortable with, or acts inappropriately, stop all communication.
Let your support system know and contact the Constellations team.
Two-Message Rule
Send one message.
If there is no response, you may send one follow-up message.
If there is still no response after that, stop reaching out.
