Kate Inez Harrington began Harrington Matchmaking with one goal in mind — to work with adults who have been underserved by traditional dating frameworks, and to show that viable, lasting relationships are possible.
Our team is proud to have built one of the most extensive databases of neurodivergent and differently-abled singles in the world.
Our Founder
Kate Inez Harrington’s contribution to this field lies in her inclusive, coaching-forward approach to matchmaking.
This approach is distinct from traditional matchmaking models that emphasize introductions without addressing the foundational preparation required for long-term viability.
She encourages her team to treat each client as the individual they are — taking into account communication style, support needs, lived experience, and readiness. In this work, matchmaking must consider not only the compatibility of two individuals, but also the broader support systems that shape their daily lives. The result is often a search for the proverbial needle in a haystack.
The creation of Constellations marked a turning point for Kate and the Harrington Matchmaking team.
It emerged as demand for one-on-one work reached capacity, alongside a steady volume of calls and messages from individuals and families seeking more accessible support. Growth in the team, along with the thoughtful implementation of recent technology, made it possible to expand access while maintaining the structure and care this work requires.
Kate and the Harrington Matchmaking team continue to approach this work with a strong sense of responsibility and care for the adults and families they serve.
Kate Inez Harrington lives in the Washington, D.C. metro area with her husband, John, a professional photographer and filmmaker, her stepdaughter, Grace, and Rosebud, an energetic English Springer Spaniel.
