You don’t always have to hire a matchmaker to be matched by one.

A thoughtful approach to finding — and choosing — a partner.

Our six-month matchmaking packages combine thoughtful introductions with ongoing dating coaching.

Before Compatibility, Context

Traditional matchmaking often begins with who you’re looking for.

We begin with you. Not over Zoom. Not through a questionnaire. In person.

How you communicate. How you spend your time. What gives you energy and what drains you. Your relationships, routines, responsibilities, and the way you move through the world.

Disability, neurodivergence, family dynamics, or an unconventional life path may all be part of that context. We want to understand what matters in your day-to-day life because compatibility on paper means little if a relationship doesn’t work in practice.

That context shapes the introductions we make — and our coaching. The better we understand you, the more thoughtfully we can approach our work.

If getting to know you requires a plane ticket, we book one.

Alexandria Jimenez
Client Relations Coordinator

“Welcome! People come to us at very different points in their dating lives. Some know exactly what they’re looking for; others just know what they’ve been doing doesn’t seem to be working. You don’t need to arrive with all the answers. We’ll start by getting to know you and take it from there.

Reaching out to a matchmaker can feel like a big step, and we know there are often questions before someone is ready to take it. Our goal is for those first conversations to feel comfortable, candid, and genuinely useful. Whether you ultimately work with Harrington Matchmaking or we point you toward another resource, we want you to leave with a clearer sense of what might help you move forward.”

Six Months of Matchmaking

Matchmaking isn't simply a series of date setups.

One matchmaker walks with you through the entire process — making introductions, coaching you along the way, and refining the search based on what we learn together. Every matchmaking engagement is tailored to the individual, but these are the core elements you can expect along the way.

Coaching

Not everything can wait for the next session.

We value the structure of a traditional coaching session, but we don’t assume that format works best for every client. Coaching is virtual and can take place through the medium that best fits how you communicate and process information. And because dating rarely unfolds on a schedule, there’s room for more informal check-ins between sessions as things come up.

Matching

We don’t do blind dates.

Your preferences give us a place to begin. We also consider what’s harder to capture on a checklist — temperament, communication, lifestyle, relationship dynamics, and how two people may actually experience one another.

Before an introduction, we share who we selected and why. You decide if you’d like to meet.

Consistent Support

This is intimate work. Who you navigate it with makes a difference.

Over six months, you're building a relationship with your matchmaker while looking for a relationship of your own. We value consistency; while working with us you’ll have the same person matching you, coaching you, and following up with your matches after dates. You’re not starting over with someone new at each stage.

Coordination

We take care of the logistics that can make dating feel like a job.

We handle scheduling, reservations, confirmations, and the details of bringing two busy lives together. After each date, we check in so you’re not left wondering where things stand or what comes next.

Presentation

Sometimes a little outside perspective helps.

Dating can bring questions about clothing, sensory preferences, dress expectations, or photos that feel like you. When helpful, our trusted image consultants and photographers can offer another perspective.

These services are entirely optional — simply another resource available to you.

Room to Pause

Six months of matchmaking doesn't have to mean six consecutive months of dating.

If you need breathing room to explore a relationship with a match — or life simply needs your attention elsewhere — your matchmaking contract can be placed on hold. We don’t believe in continuing introductions simply because the clock is ticking. Sometimes, giving something time is part of the process.

  • “Don’t give up. You will find someone. You have to put in the effort. I went to Harrington Matchmaking events. I put myself out there. I was matched with my girlfriend who was one of Kate's matchmaking clients. We’re really happy and planning to move in together next Spring.”

  • “I don’t mind sharing my experience. I was ready to finally start dating after finishing grad school which was a battle uphill for me. I'm AuDHD, had big life changes, and chronic illness. Hiring you to take the work out of my hands helped me avoid getting overwhelmed and stop dating. As you know I met my partner who was my fifth match and I did a contract hold to explore if we could work and we did. Thank you!"

Currently, We Have a Waitlist

Harrington Matchmaking intentionally works with a limited number of clients at a time.

Demand — particularly for our work with neurodivergent and disabled adults — often exceeds the number of clients we can responsibly serve at one time.

If you’re interested in working with our team, the first step is to book a consultation.

We’ll learn more about you, what you’re looking for, and whether Harrington Matchmaking is the right fit. If it isn’t, the conversation is still meant to be useful: we may recommend another program, professional, or trusted partner better suited to what you’re looking for and help you take next steps.

Due to demand and the time we reserve for each prospective client, our consultations are $350.

  • “I’d recently tried finding matches through speed dating, but kept getting burned by ones where we weren’t compatible at all. Harrington Matchmaking helped me move past those and introduced me to people who shared not just my interests, but my values, too.”

  • “Great service if you’re post divorce and finding your footing. Avoid those dating apps.”

Our Specialty

Neurodiversity & Disability-Affirming Dating Support

Harrington Matchmaking has extensive experience matching and coaching neurodivergent adults, specifically autistic adults and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

There is no single neurodivergent dating experience. Our work is shaped around the individual — their communication style, how they connect and navigate relationships, and the support or accommodations that may make dating more accessible, comfortable, and successful.

This work helped inspire Harrington Matchmaking in the first place and remains especially close to founder Kate Inez Harrington. Years spent getting to know neurodivergent and disabled adults, their families, and the people who support them have shaped our broader philosophy: understand and embrace the person first, then build the process around them.

Kate Inez Harrington
Owner, Harrington Matchmaking

“My team has been asking me for this quote for months. I’ve struggled to write it because the neatest description of what I do — matchmaking — leaves out most of what makes this work extraordinary. I’ve done traditional matchmaking, and this is something entirely different — in the most wonderful, demanding, rewarding way. I’ve waited on benches outside first dates because knowing I was nearby made a client feel more comfortable, cheered in public over first kisses and a ‘yes’ to a second date, stayed on the phone through heartbreak, and exchanged more messages with clients, families, therapists, and matches than I could ever count. Sometimes I’m lucky enough to see someone through a first relationship, support them when it ends years later, and eventually match them again.

What stays with me most is the courage. I get to watch people who once wondered whether love would ever be part of their lives build relationships on their own terms — sometimes with more support, different expressions of intimacy, or lives that look nothing like what they’ve seen modeled elsewhere. What matters is that the relationship belongs to the people in it. It’s impossible not to be changed by these stories. Being trusted with them is an extraordinary privilege. This is my dream job.”

Matchmaking Support, Reimagined

More Than a Diagnosis

Labels are a starting point, not a matchmaking strategy.

A diagnosis tells us little about whether two people will connect.

We look beyond the label to the person — their temperament, communication style, sensory and support needs, independence, affection, and how they experience connection. We aren't matching diagnoses. We're matching people.

Coaching

Specialized support requires specialized learning.

Our coaches combine education and training in supporting neurodivergent and disabled clients with years of hands-on experience. Sessions can include conversation, flirting, boundaries, physical affection, managing uncertainty, preparing for dates, or making sense of them afterward.

Coaching is a safe place to ask questions, rehearse situations, and build practical skills without being taught there is one “right” way to date.

Safety & Autonomy

Support without taking over.

For some clients and families, dating brings real concerns about romance scams, manipulation, or people misrepresenting themselves online. When appropriate, we can build additional screening, planning, and safeguards into the process.

Safety should never come at the expense of adulthood. We work to honor each client’s independence, privacy, choices, and right to take the same emotional risks that are part of dating for all of us.

Collaborative Approach

The right support system can be an asset to dating.

With the client’s involvement, we can collaborate with parents, family members, therapists, aides, and others who know and support them. That might mean coordinating logistics, sharing observations, or helping everyone navigate the changes and emotions a new relationship can bring.

The level of involvement is different for every client. We welcome support systems while keeping the person dating at the center of their own choices and relationships.

Specialized Network

Years of trust have built a network that can't be created overnight.

Harrington Matchmaking has built an extensive network of neurodivergent and disabled singles across the U.S. and beyond through years of matchmaking, coaching, referrals, families, professionals, and community relationships.

That reach gives us more room to be discerning — to look beyond a shared diagnosis and search for the person who may actually be right for you.

Constellations

Not everyone needs — or can access — the same kind of dating support.

Constellations is our broader dating and social community for neurodivergent and disabled adults, combining opportunities to meet others with group coaching and social and dating skills development. Members can build confidence with conversation, recognizing and expressing interest, boundaries, dating etiquette, and navigating relationships while forming real connections within the community.

  • “I’m so glad my son has you, Kate. It’s so much more than matchmaking! You have a knack for communicating with him that is nonjudgmental. And he feels safe to express himself with you. That’s a real gift!"

  • “We highly recommend Harrington Matchmaking. Our son began working with them at 38. He struggled to maintain a relationship with even one friend. He desperately wanted to date but we were lost with where to start. After a disastrous dating app experience we were recommended Kate by our neighbor. Our son is a different person now. He is in his 2nd long relationship with a woman in Virginia. We’re thankful to have found you.”
